Warrington, 26 September 2017 – Airangel, the enterprise guest WiFi solutions provider, today announces a set of strategic appointments and a reorganisation of commercial operations to support its ambitious international growth plans.
Rizvan Zafar has joined Airangel as CFO to lead development of its Software as a Service (SaaS) business model. Rizvan has a history of working with companies on high growth trajectories and will be seeking out opportunities for Airangel to execute business internationally and at scale.
Airangel has also appointed Richard Wadsworth, previously Head of Enterprise Mobility for Telstra. Richard will play a key role in coordinating channel operations throughout Europe, working closely with existing partners in addition to driving new partner acquisitions.
Due to the accelerated growth plans and recent successes in the enterprise hospitality and private rental sectors, the guest WiFi provider is also redesigning its commercial operations to create a seamless customer experience through acquisition, on-boarding, implementation, service and support, overseen by a new senior structure. Tavis Butler has been appointed as Chief Sales Officer to focus on new customer sales while Irvin Aldridge, Airangel’s existing Chief Commercial Officer, moves into the new Chief Customer Officer role looking after the needs of existing clients. This includes understanding the current and future trends of our end customers’ guests, along with the changing trends in technology that will shape the future of the guest experience.
The new appointments and structural changes follow the recently announced restructuring the business into three divisions – Genisys, Activnet and Captivnet – which each serve different key markets.
Dean Wilkinson, Airangel’s CEO commented: “We’ve gone through some exciting and significant changes recently, but our ultimate goals have stayed the same. I’m confident that our new management structure will help us soon reach a number of key milestones in terms of growth, including international expansion.
“We’ve seen an increase in demand from our current and future clients, specifically with regards to what their customers expect from a guest experience. This is why we’re really solidifying the process of dealing with customers and prospects so we can offer them what they’re looking for in a solution.”
